can anyone give me a short story about the priest, what he found,and his death?is the church a museum now,or do they still have service there?the american version of this is he found a paper proving jesus has a blood line that exsist today and he blackmailed the catholic church.he remodeled the church with demon like statues and was later from dead in a locked room.
please give me the real story.

It's Rennes-le-Chateau, and it's in France (the UK church you may be confusing it with was Rosslyn Chapel). Links with details of "the mystery" below, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
The real story is that the whole fable was started - or at least given widespread publicity - by Noel Corbu, a local restaurateur trying to attract business. They were incorporated by writer and fantasist Pierre Plantard in his book on the Priory of Sion. Plantard faked historical documents to support the stories (and his claim to be King of France, or at least Grand Master of the Priory of Sion).
The stories and documents drew in the authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail, who made a small packet out of treating them as historical truth. Dan Brown in turn took up the story, turned it into a novel, and made a considerably larger packet.
But the REAL real story is that Jesus was just a man, not the Son of God, so it's all a bit of a waste of time worrying about it!

actually the real story or a sort of true basis can be found in a book called Holy blood , holy Grail by richard Baigent and Micheal Lee these were the aurthors who sued Dan Brown for plagarism having read both text i think they should have one too but thats beside the point , keep in mind that many satements in this book are false but there are some relevant factual information , further to that read L. Gardiners book about the Blood Line of Christ can't rember the name of the text , however Gardiner is brilliant the man has access to many royal vaults and that of the Vatican as well so he doesn't have a need to talk crap

the story was to my memmory that he found the 13 gosple it had been ritten by jesus christ and declaired that no church had the right to dictate the beliefs of any and would of turned the crusades into the butchery they ware and that they should devide there welth with other nations less well off wouldnt that just bugg the vatican bank out??????
