Im a Christain and i love God/Jesus but how do i get to know him personally.

Read His Word! Talk with Him in Prayer...Look for His answers. be patient...God promises that those that seek Him with all their heart, & mind..shall find Him!

I don't know how often you read your bible, but this is definitely the best way to know Jesus. John 1:14 says Jesus is the "Word made flesh" so naturally by reading the Word you are getting to know Him personally.
In the bible the Word of God is also symbolically referred to as bread, and to eat it, is to read or study to Word. see Matthew 4:4, Ezekiel 2:8-10, 3:1-3, Revelation 10:8-10. Jesus said "I AM the Bread of Life, whoever eats this bread will live forever." He meant that we need to know Him through His Word. That's why he suggested that when we pray we ask for "our daily bread", that daily we might receive of the truth of His Word.
I hope this helps you out. I know through studying the bible my personal relationship with Christ has grown a lot.
Here's an encouraging scripture:
Philippians 1:6 "He who has begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

I found a book by Stormie O'Martin called the Power of a Praying Woman. It isn't expensive and they even sell it at Target and Walmart...
It talks about developing a relationship and how to pray and become a better person but it doesn't preach to any specific religion or set of beliefs. My life has changed and my spirituality has really developed as a result of her books.
It is an easy reading book and has a prayer at the end of each chapter that asks God to help in that particular area of your life. You can read the chapters in any order and they are usually 10 or so pages long.
I also have the Power of a Praying Wife. She makes several for women, husband, teen, etc...

To get to know God you have to start studying his word more
He wants to be part of your life so let him into everything you do
Talk to him tell him all your secrets. As we both know he already know them but Jesus what to hear them from you he what a more interment relationship with you because he loves you
and get in to praying i know that its not easy when you first start but reading the Psalms helps you see pray and reading Gods word is part of worship and we just do not do that on a Sunday at church we should do that every day
If you do this then you will get to know him more personally
and more you get to know him the more he will bless you

Read more on God's word, and be observant and listen to thing that have been happening, as Lord will speak through his word and through events and matter and of cause u must pray about it...and most importantly God is always with you, and God love you

Talk to him alone. Find a place whee you can keep your eyes open and imagine that He is right in front of you. It helps to read the Bible every day and have a regular prayer time. But it does make a huge difference to talk to Him as a friend and not just as this far away being.

ASK Him for the Holy spirit...will guide you in God's ways at all times and will point you to jesus.
Read more bible...pray more....love one another. Think a few minutes before you speak about the other person's feelings.

Talk to him. I mean, talk to Him, converse. Sure it may seem like you are talking to yourself, but He's there, He's listening.
Just talk about anything. The weather, a book, life, friends, love. I think He's alot like Frosty the Snowman, in that He's a Jolly Happy Soul.
Just have fun. It truly strengthen's your relationship with him when you do this, because you think of him as a buddy.

Or pray to the dead . Sorry it just seems so silly to believe in someones imaginary deities or life in death. One question please have you ever really done anything to prove this love you possess?
