I would be a little wary, 100,000 is the sort of time that things start needing attention - head gaskets, CV joints, cam belts.
If it has had a MAJOR amount of work done recently on the engine and things have been replaced already AND the bodywork looks in great condition UNDERNEATH - then go for it.
I would still take into account that it will cost you more to fix if and when it does go wrong than a Ford or other "more regular" vehicle.
Great cars when they run well, damned expensive when they need repairing.
Perhaps worth asking if the garage would extend the guarantee to 12 months in exchange for a modest increase in price. If they flatly refuse than you might want to wonder what they are worried about. If they say yes, then perhaps worth taking if the extra cost seems fair.

That is a lot of miles. Check to see if the car is burning oil. Go to the back and take a swipe just inside the tailpipe. It shouldbe clear well, not black gunk.

Yes,If the car looks well cared for. If you drive it and it feels like it fits you and runs well, check price and if it seems fair, buy it. A BMW can be a 250k car with proper care.
