When looking at a table, you think table. Think of it as tabla, etc. Soon you'll not only speak Spanish and English, but you'll think in Spanish and English, so you don't have to translate everything and memorize.

Flashcards also work.

You hang a new word on as many hooks as possible. Write it down, say it, read it and, most important of all, use it in your normal vocabulary. Write a list of new words on a piece of paper, keep it in your pocket and look at the words in spare moments. And it's true, just having a recording of the language playing in the background while you're working or sleeping really does work. Yo estudio Español demasiado. Bueno suerte amigo.
