Most likely not recommended, because the canadian dvds are region 1. I cannot remember what region australia is. Region 1 dvds can only be played on a region 1 dvd player. On computers some dvd roms, you can change the region to the area you are in. I think that there are 7 regions. Be warned that you can only change regions so may times. After that you are stuck with that region, unless you can make your dvd rom region free.
