"If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." 1 John 1:9. Without that verse, I would not be a Christian and would not be living the way I am today. Every day I am thankful I'm alive and headed for heaven because I know that nothing else matters. I'm thankful that at the end of the day, because of that verse and what it stands for, I know where I am going.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It reminds me how Great the Bible is and how useful it is in our daily lives.

maybe: I am the vine you are the branches,
you cannot bear fruit unless you abide in the vine
Abide means to remain, stay.

I'd tell you what verse it was, and how it changed me, and I'd even explain to you why I am wearing a cross around my neck. But you addressed your question to the Christians, not realizing that you might get an inspirational answer from an atheist.

There are many that have opened my eyes to new things and have touched my heart in many ways, but my all-time favorite is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I'm at the Library. Hey my child, God Answers Prayers but only to those that are true to him. If you submit to the Power Companies and Join the Service to Kill People you will go to Hell. God will only Save the Christians that don't give into Society, The Evil Rock Music, the Computer, Electricity. Use only natural things of God, No Dishwashers, no Irons. etc. Only Amish will meet God. I pray for you
