you guys are cooking at least mashed potato and gravy and sweet corn for thanksgiving right?

i always open canned corn and put them in a deep dish.
add some salt and butter and put it in a microwave.
that's it. and i just serve it.

how do you guys prepare sweet corn?
any good recipes?

Nope, I don't serve corn at Thanksgiving. Not that we don't love it, but we'd rather not add yet another carbo to the meal. I see no problem with the way you serve it. For corn, simple is better.

well as far as canned foods go, corn isn't so bad. A good corn casserole (corn bread mix, sour cream, eggs and corn) is always a hit. I love sweet potatoes, well, any potatoes really. And I love to try new dressings. Someone made a pumpernickel or rye bread stuffing one year that was soooo goood! I was younger then and didn't care about recipes. Don't know who made it or anything, just that we never had it again. I also opt for ham rather than turkey, but sometimes you don't get a choice. Happy Holidays all!

You can make rice and kidney beans and some corn (canned) some people call it sucatash but its good try it.

well.. i think canned food is gross.
so i mix fresh cooked corn with some butter, red onions ,and cilantro.
