No. I know a couple of people with Lupus, and neither of them have the mask. Lupus is really hard to diagnose because it mimics so many other diseases.

You might be thinking of the "butterfly rash" that appears on the face sometimes in patients with lupus. I was told years ago I had lupus by a general practioner. I followed up with a rheumatologist who specialized in lupus and learned that it takes more than one blood test to diagnose lupus. Luckily I didn't have it. The disease is so complicated to diagnose and still not much is know about the disease. Do google or yahoo searches and learn more if you have questions.
