Leave and tell them why you are leaving, but don't say I love you or maybe we'll be together later. That drives people crazy.

the fact that you using the word "dumped" means that your pretty hurt by this. but loving him is natural. it wasnt until last summer that i finally gave up all those feelings i have for my first bf when i was 15. the relationship lasted two years mind you. and he cheated on me. and had a child with another girl while dating me. so nothing can be worse than that. be assured that life will go on. and eventually he will be just a memory.

Some people you go out with you are going to establish a certain connection with and maybe even love them even though they hurt you. It is ok to always have a spot and love someone just dont let him back in to do it again, all it is , is memories now and leave it that way.

I disagree with everybody............it is possible to love without being together. you can love close up or from a distance. Just because someone hurts you, thats no reason to stop loving them. Love is something special given from the heart to another. Love isnt something you can turn on or off like a switch. If you can, then you dont know what love really is to begin with!!!!!

yes, same thing happened to me. the love you still feel as well as the pain he caused you will slowly go away. be patient. you will find a nice guy who won't hurt you like the one you just dumped.

Sometimes it hurts to do what we know is the right thing to do. It sounds like you know you needed to dump him but your heart still wants him and it will take time to heal. I'm sorry.

Good for you!!!! Even if you love him, you can't let them get away with hurting you! You did the smart thing. Unfortunately, you don't just stop loving someone just like that, even when they hurt you. But you will get over him as long as you keep telling yourself he will probably hurt you again.

im in the same situation as you..i still love him, we even dated 2x, all in 2 1/2 yrs..but there were too many problems being together..we have come to the conclusion that we are much better off as friends, we still talk, sometimes just go out for a drink, but thats it....if you havent spoken to your ex, and want the same outcome as me, then call your ex and talk to him about maybe just getting together as friends..sometimes it takes a couple times to get things right..also, talk to him about how he hurt you and your feelings about it..sometimes they do listen..

You didn't LOVE him in the first place, so cut the LOVEY stuff!
Wait till you get married someday and you get HURT, then what are you gonna do?? Cut and run? Life ain't easy for a boy named Sue.
PS I assume he HURT your feelings and not your physical body.
If he hurt you physically how could you EVEN THINK of love????

well honestly yes it is okies for u tosay that u still love that person because every boyfriend is different and so no one can really replace any our past lovers... but the truth is that its really over and thats the end of it. there's no problem with loving them still but just remember that its really over between the two of u. and u can find someone better just not someone like him.
