How much a flight attendant makes depends on the airline they are working for.

The pay package consists of their basic salary, plus a travel or disturbance allowance. The allowance varies according to their flights (domestic or international). The crew also stay for free at hotels when they have layovers.

For private jets, attendants get a higher salary but normally, allowances are non-existant or lower.

You guys are all full of ****. Answer something you know about.

I have been at a legacy carrier for ten years. Before paycuts, I would have earned about 40,000.

This year, I will barely make 28,000! After 10 years!! I am employed by one of the top 5 air carriers in the world. New hires at my company can expect to make 18,000 their first year.

I have no idea about contract FA's. I'm sure they do much better, but it's a different job.

astounding shaggy dog tale!If I have been the flight attendant i could have replied extremely prosaicly yet wisely as below "Greetings Princess. Welcome to(call the country to which the airplane belonged)! even if, we expect visitors to our usa to observe the guidelines of the land. And in case you're conscious, Princess, a airplane is a factor of the country to which it belongs.only it extremely is airborne! Now be a effective,Princess and (in a barking tone)submit your tray in the present day." it extremely is the main astounding criminal place. And it could have been a maximum astounding rejoinder to a 'Princess' with a blown up head.

It would be very helpful if people answering this question also let us know what currency they are talking about and if the salary is gross or net

eg. 20 k GBP can easily be equal to 40 k USD.
