No one hates the Amish, they are peaceful people. If you are really Amish you would not be using a computer.

People, amish can occasionally use a computer! They don't have to own it! My best friend is amish, and if someone wants to use a computer, they could go to the library! I believe hating amish is like Hating Jews, or cathoics or Christians. I never met anyone who hated you guys.

I live in Ohio. One thing I know, the Amish build the best barns, cook some of the best foods, and have great wood-working skills in general. As an Ohio person, I think that it would be hard to hate the Amish, after all, almost anything in Ohio can be found with the prefix "Amish" attached to it. Amish cheese, amish furniture, amish food, etc...

Most do not hate the Amish. In fact many of us love you and wish our lives to be a simple. Hold the phone! Amish do not use tecnology! Why are you on the internet? Or are you the age where you get to live one year using things outside the Amish?

I think it stems from the fact that most people are afraid to put their religious ideals first and fromeost in their lives. Too many people are willing to complrmise their beliefs and morality in the name of expediency and acceptance in a society that expects a level of conformity that no one should be required to give. The Amish, from my limited expereiences, have managed to maintain ther moral and religious beliefs into the 21st centruy whithout having to make those sorts of changes. Their unwavering devotion and strength of belief reminds others of just how much they fall short in their own dedication to their religon. It is, I think more a level of frustration than anythhing else, that manifests itslef in words and actions that are, by their appearance in some way hateful, resentful, and occasinally malicious. IF more people were not so afraid to show their full devotion to their religion, there would be less of those sorts of attitudes to be troublesome.

The Amish do not use the Internet. So why don't YOU have any respect for them? It is obvious that you and your fellow Amish trolls do not. I see that you have a very large family present here.
Ugh. Troll boogers everywhere.
