If you say: "Earthly" That would mean mankind was created to live on the earth.. . simple.
If you say: "Heavenly" or "Both"....very complicated. "Adam lost his heavenly home".... think about that answer for a few minutes. ..
Where did Adam live?
"Adam lost his heavenly home" would mean God had it planned for Adam to die anyway, to go to his future heavenly home. Why? And leave paradise?.. Could a sinless Adam die? Wasn't in fact "death" a Punishment for disobedience? If you say "God knew Adam would disobey". Is that fair? Destined to fail from the start Perverted justice.(Deut.32:4) "The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice"
Why didn't God just create humans in heaven like the other millions of angels? (Ps115:16) "As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong, But the earth he has given to the sons of men. (Or, “earthling man.” Heb., ’a‧dham')"
Isn't the answer clear? What say you?

No human ever considered living in heaven until Jesus mentioned that yet-future possibility just hours before he was impaled.

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments) after Armageddon.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling from among godfearing worshippers, including many who were never Jehovah's Witnesses. Today, each true worshipper "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Heaven is called the 'dwelling place of God' or where God especially manifests His presence. The Garden of Eden was a type of Heaven becuase God made His presence known there in fellowship with Adam and Eve. The Tabernacle in the Wilderness was also a type of Heaven. When the first human pair sinned, they lost their intimate fellowship with God, lost Eden, lost "Heaven." At the culmination of the age, God will make a "New Heavens and a New Earth" and God will make His dwelling place among His people in the new earth. Thus, "Heaven" - the "dwelling place of God" will be among men - Eden or Paradise regained. Do I make sense? God had aslways intended that humans enjoy His presence in their natural habitat - the Earth. When we die, we go into what is called the "Intermediate State" - our soul/spirit separated from our bodies. The soul of beleivers go to be with Christ and wait for the general resurection when they will recieve ALL the benefits of salvation including glorified bodies. God will transform the whole cosmos and the earth will be restored to its pristine beauty and purity. Eternal life in the New Heavens and the New Earth with the Triune God is the core of the Christian hope.

Very clear. I believe adam was free to visit heaven. I believe God created him with the capacity to represent Earth when leaders of the other worlds meet together(Like in Job.) But when he fell, he lost the ability to have direct communion with God (Satan then took over as prince of the Earth)and since he lost out on the tree of life, I believe that he also lost out on his earthy home. So he really lost both his homes. When Jesus died, he gave us the ability to return to our Heavenly home and some day soon, when he makes all things new, we will also be free to have our earthly home as well. Undoing all the damage done by one man.

Adam was created, as I'm sure you know, in the image and likeness of God. But he wasn't God. Adam was sinless when created. Therefore when he sinned by disobedience he was separated from God. Literally. that's why Jesus said that we must be born again because our souls are born dead, so to speak. Completely separated from God. It's a spiritual rebirth. Adam only lost his privilege of Gods divine provision not a dwelling place.

God created man and gave him free will, because he wanted us to choose Him. When Adam and Eve sinned, they were sent out from the garden of Eden and made to work for their living. They were separated from God, and that is why He sent His Son (sinless) to die for us, so we can be reunited with God. And that is the only way we will enter our Heavenly home, by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. They still had a place to live here; it just wasn't in the Garden of Eden anymore by man's own choice, because he chose to disobey God.

Adam was created to have a relationship with God. When he sinned, it was his relationship with God that was severed. But God had a plan. He sent Jesus to earth to die on the Cross, thereby paying the penalty of human sin. With the payment being made, all we need to do is accept Jesus' gift of eternal life.

I may be missing the point, but Adam (pronounced Aa - daam) lost his earthly home. Generally speaking, God intended for him and every other human to have fellowship with him and every one else ON THE EARTH, and when he sinned, he died spiritually and then physically, but he still has fellowship with God to this day, but up there instead, where you shall also be if you have accepted the sacrifice on Calvary made available to you.

I am pretty sure that Adam lost his spiritual connection/relationship with God, which is one of the main reasons Jesus came (to bridge the gap between God and man)!

Dear bro......

You said " If you say "God knew Adam would disobey". Is that fair? Destined to fail from the start "

thats not quite right......

Knowing some one will do something is not forcing him to fail......

Adam chose to eat from the forbidden tree....he was not forced.....

god knew what adam is going to do from the day adam was created ...to the last human on earth dies.......he knew he will disobey and eat from the tree....and though he left him alone do what he wants.....

....
i know that doesnt answer your main question.....but i have to say it!

Adam lost his earthly home and his chance at immortallity as a human. Not because of God but because of disobedience.
