send it to him anonymously, and don't tell him until the new year.

As a guy, let me tell you, I think you should save that poem for later, when hopefully you guys are together.
If he's a nice guy and he hasn't paid that much attention to you, then unless he's secretly felt the same way, he'll tell you "no" because he'll be worried that you'll get even more attached and he might not and then he'll hurt you even more. So he'd distance himself right there.
If he's a jackass, then he'll see this as an opportunity to use you and sleep with you, so he'll pretend that he feels the same way until he gets what he wants, then dump you.
Remember, when you really like someone like that, but haven't truly gotten to know them yet, then you have the "idolizing goggles" on. He might seem really cool, and nice, but he might be a jerk, and then he'll try to use you, just like I said.
So save the poem for now, go up to him (or pass him the note if you can't muster up the courage) and ask him to go grab some coffee together at a local coffee shop. Hopefully you'll get to know him better and you guys will hit it off. Then, once you're really sure that he feels about you the same way, you can show him this poem and tell him how you loved him from the start, he'll really appreciate it.
Good luck, sweetie.

I understand completely what you're going through. I once wrote a guy a poem similar to what your's sounds like and he reacted poorly to it. I think it is wonderful that you want to pursure him, but a poem is a little to intense for most guys. The worst thing would be for him to freak out. If you think he'll have that reaction, it is best to hold onto it and keep it for yourself. Just don't lose sight of the care you have for him. Make a move in a different way. And if he reacts pleasantly to that, give him the poem.

I think a poem saying "I like you and I'm upset that you ignore me" is a little too intense, direct, and personal for you to share with a guy who may, in fact, be ignoring you.
Write the poems for yourself, but keep in mind that any guy who is ignoring you very likely won't "get" what you're trying to say, no matter how eleoquently you may say it.
On the other hand, the guy who seems to be ignoring you may just be a nervous and insecure guy himself. Try to think of less grandiose and formal ways you can connect with him, short of poetry, and see if anything comes of that.
You can bare your soul with someone eventually, but it's never a good idea on a first date.

if you wrote the poem for him then you should let him read it
Otherwise you may as well throw it away, But why not Just go and ask him if he likes you or not, before you give him the poem
that way you are sure you are doing the right thing
Good luck may God bless you

hmm...in my experience, this is always an awkward experience. I had it the other way round....a guy really liked me and wrote a song/poem thing for me exactly what your poem was about.... all i did was smile during it but....then i stopped talking to him cause i thought it was too wierd that he liked me when i obviously didn't feel the same way. Sorry :(

I don't know if that's a good idea, guys get scared if a girl is too forward, and I think you're being WAY too forward and sound like a stalker......

You have a great personality and being a writer shows self motivation and creation. Show it to him he will remember it forever. You will be running through his head all day.
