No. It is important to cook turkey at the proper temperatures of 325 to 350F. Make sure you baste it often during cooking and let it stand covered with foil for about 20 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to gather and make it moister.

Unless you are using the rasting bag method, then basting your turkey throughly every minutes will make it more juicy. The size of the turkey does not determine the temperature that it should be cooked at. The correct roasting temperatures are 325-375F. The USDA does not recommend cooking turkey in an oven set lower than 325°F as you can read for yourself at this link - http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/turkey/techniques.html#chart
Best of luck to you with your turkey and Happy Thanksgiving.

I myself have always cooked my turkeys the night before while I'm sleeping. I prep and stuff it, put it in a roasting pan with a little water. Then I cover it with foil. Foil should be put together as needed forming a tent like cover making sure it isn't tight on the turkey. I set the oven temp. at 240. I go to bed between 10-11pm. When I wake up the next morning I take the foil off turn oven up to 325 and baste as usual until done. I also put butter between the skin and breast. I always have a moist turkey.

No no no, that will dry it out. You should use those Reynold's oven bags. They hold from 8 to 24 pounds. They keep the moisture in the turkey, and you don't have to baste the thing every 30 minutes.

you need to be careful cooking at a low temp or you will get sick. Try cooking according to directions but cook uncovered first to brown and then cover. The browning helps seel the juices in.

Don't cook it any lower than 325 or you could get food poisoning. Bacteria will grow in the poultry at low temps.
