Toothbrush was invented by William Yadis of England in 1770 when he was in a jail. He used some stick and pricked some small plant made straight things on it for washing his teeth when he was in a jail. Later after being released from prison he started his own factory where he manufactured it for the first time in the world.

It was invented in china but the first mass produced toothbrush was in 1780 by William Addis of England.
