Just tell him. Guy/Girl friendships either turn romantic or end eventually. There are exceptions of course, but not common.
Once one person gets married or in a serious relationship that person's significant other isn't going to be real fond of his "girl best friend."

well, i think that a relationship starts with friendship.
when you have a great friendship w/ a guy and you get to know each other and trust each other, you learn the likes / dislikes. inside and out.
that is what a people need to do, become friends and then become lovers.
if more people would do that our divorce rates wouldn't be as high as they are. i say go for it.
best of luck!!!

Simply...
1.If you are afraid like a scaredy cat... and contented to like him without hurting him and yourself... Don't tell him, if he also likes you he should do the first move.
2.Or... If you're brave as a lion who don't care what may happend if you told him... Just do it and tell how you feel. If he's a gentleman, he'll respect what you feel inside.
