I don't even drink, but as of yet I'm not 21 so I'd be in some major trouble if I did.

I drink and drive about 5 times a week. Been that way for about 4 years. It's not that big of a deal. I've been pulled over three times while drinking and driving, never had to blow or go to the pokey, the cops didn't seem to feel I was a problem on the road. My accidents have always been when I have had nothing to drink. Omce I drank 8 martinis after 4 beers and I was pulled over for speeding; I passed the road test.

That said, I have freinds that cannot drive after a few drinks. They can't stay in their lane nor pay attention to traffic. It's scary. It's like alcohol negatively affects their motor skills for some reason. We used to go out drinking and drive home separately and I would see them doing some really dangerous driving and they would not have a clue when I confronted them. So I started being the driver.

So, alcohol does not affect everyone the same way. Some folks can drink a lot and you would not know it. Others have one drink and are toasted.

While I drink and drive almost daily, I have only driven drunk a few times, and I don't like it. It's been cases were I was ok when I started driving, then on the way, the extra alcohol I consumed earlier started to kick in. Best idea in that case is to pull over and put the keys outside the car and sleep it off.

NEVER. Anyone that would drink & drive should lose their license for good and not keep getting chances to go out and kill people. Although I hate to admit it, my Uncle (Dad's brother) is a recovered alcoholic and he finally quit drinking when he hit an 8 months pregnant woman and killed her baby boy. That was about 10 years ago and I am just now talking to him again.

Currently I don't do that idiotic behavior. But when I was a lot younger I did. Fortunately there was never an accident because of it. I'm an alcoholic so I don't even have a sip. People who do drink and drive are morons and don't care about anybody else but themselves. jmo

I admit it - I have driven over the limit. The unwritten rule out here in the bush is do not drive on the main roads or highways....carefully and slowly sneak home. But we don't tolerate blinders driving or driving like idiots. There is a line. You know there are thousands of people driving around whacked off their nuts on drugs, nothing is ever said about them.

I wouldn't even consider it. If I drank more than 2 of anything I'd find someone to take me home or call a cab. I have never driven drunk & wouldn't be caught dead in a car with a drunken driver. I don't have a death wish.

I never drink and drive and neither do any of my friends. If anyone who reads this question does, please think of the people you could hurt. My friend lost her fiance to a drunk driver. Her life will never be the same.

I never drink and drive. My fear is that I would hurt someone and have to live the rest of my life knowing I could have easily prevented it by not drinking. Accidents are one thing, but not when you can easily prevent one.

Absolutely not. In a busy city, you need to be sober to dodge the drunks who are already swerving all over the road. I certainly do not want to add to that problem.
