What is the maximum weight limit for the top of a DVD player?

I am trying to make room for Christmas decor and I was wondering if it would put to much weight on my DVD player and scratch my DVD's if I put my Direct TV reciever on top of it?

The amount of weight you can put on top of a DVD player depends on how well it was made, typically, one or two other video components such as VCR's or satellite recievers will be fine on top of a DVD player, just don't stick the whole tv on top of it.
