What do you do for Valentines day or holidays and you are single? Do you celebrate it?

I celebrate being single on some holidays and some people think it's kind of odd or weird to celebrate being single. Is being single bad?

Yes.

Holidays are days to celebrate special things and/or people. But a valentine need not be a significant other. It can be a child, a close friend or a family member who needs a smile.

Being single myself - I try to make it a special day for those that I care about - I will do something special with my son or for my elderly grandfather or my close friends, etc... I don't let the day go to waste just because I don't have a significant other to dote upon.

Well, I know that children and teenagers celebrate valentines day single. They just celebrate to have a good time, eat candy, hang out, and dress in pink. They dont care if they have a boyfriend or girlfriend. I don't see whats wrong with celebrating if you're single, I just have a couple of girlfriends over, and we eat popcorn. Go ahead, have fun.

Being single is not bad. There's nothing wrong with it. Some people prefer it. I celebrate being single, especially after just getting out of an abusive marriage. It's wonderful to be me,do what I want, wear what I want, hang out with who I want without worrying about it. : )

No, I just thought of those days as just another day of the week or I'd give my mom a box of candy lol.
I don't think being single is bad.. I was content after being so for 23 years of my life. It's nice to have a companion, but not having one shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying life for what it's worth.

Um, I get a little sad sometimes... but that's bullshit, you know. Especially with Thanksgiving here, we have so much to be grateful for, you know? Holidays are actually good times to be single... you don't have to worry about spending money on someone or racking your brain to think of stuff they'd like and so on. that's about all I can think of. But yeah, I still celebrate... because that's fun! So many people throw parties... and that's such a good way to meet people.

I love being single. You have total freedom. Oh and think about it this way, some sucker will have to spend hundreds of dollars on Valentines day, birthdays, Christmas, and so on, while all I do is go to a club and have some fun.

When I was still single, I moped around on Valentine's Day. Then I got mad, and I spoiled myself by getting hotel rooms with hot tubs . . . . all for me.

It ruled.
