It does not behove a Believer to slay another Believer except by error, ( 120 ) and if one slays a Believer by error, he must set free one believing slave as expiation ( 121 ) and pay blood-money to the heirs ( 122 ) of the slain person unless they charitably forego it. But if the murdered Muslim belonged to a people who are at enmity with you, then the expiation shall be the freeing of one believing slave; and if the slain person belonged to a non-Muslim ally of yours, then the blood-money must be paid to his heirs ( 123 ) and a believing slave has to be set free. But if one could not afford a slave, then he must fast two consecutive months. ( 124 ) This is the way enjoined by Allah for repentance; ( 125 ) Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. As regards the one who kills a Believer wilfully, his recompense is Hell, wherein he shall live for ever. He has incurred Allah's wrath and His curse is on him, and Allah has prepared a woeful torment for him. )

( 131 ) These are the things which He has enjoined on you: it may be that you use your common sense. And He has enjoined:(6) that you should not go near the property of an orphan except in the best way,' ( 132 ) until he reaches his maturity.(7) and you should use a full measure and a just balance. We charge one only with that much responsibility that one can bear, ( 133 ) (8) and whatever you say should be just, even if it is concerning your own relatives,(9) and you should fulfil your covenant with Allah. ( 134 ) Allah has enjoined these things on you so that you may follow the admonition.(10) And Allah also enjoins: "This way alone is My Right Way; therefore you should follow this Way and should not follow other ways lest they should lead you astray from His Way. ( 135 ) This is what Allah has enjoined on you so that you may avoid crooked ways.

So....my dear brother, islam says dont kill or hurt someone....or even a tree....and an animal........tell him...that killing is forbiddin in islam......and it is only in the hand of Authorities to do.....within certain circumistances......
Islam even urges to be kind with jews and christians and to let them live in peace and under our protection...
Prophet Muhammed Said( who hurt a non muslim ..he would be hurting me and i would be his opponent in judgement day).

Im a christian but i've been studying some Muslim to better understand. From what i know it is not right to kill someone unless being attacked or trying to be converted IN WAR Muslims are peaceful people and cause no such harm. In reguards to the 9/11 attacks against America, I would we are at war with Osama Bin Laden and his fascist group. Not Muslims. This is what I've learned.

Organize a talk to these people on the examples set by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Presented by a knowledgable person that is patient and gentle. Someone who can calm a crowd down. Because currently, most of them are led by angry Brothers who are just frustrated and tired. So they ALL get fired up by the word of 2 or 3 extremist.
Rasulullah (SAW) was always patient in handling any matters. If He was here today, what would he say?

I don't know what you are allowed to do or not do in your religion and culture. But if you look at the people in history who were able to make a difference you will find a role model. Think of Gandhi, Tutu, Martin Luther King, and others.
Basically I think that you need to educate the young men to the true basis of the Islamic faith. The extremest are young, healthy men who can be enlisted to fight. You must get to them, BEFORE the false teachers do. Teach the next generation. If you teach them correctly, when the false teachers comes they will not listen to them.

You mean what ever is happening in Iraq. People (Muslims) killing themselves and Innocent people (Majority Muslims). Actually they are victims of conspiracy from Washington. From where all these ammunition is comming to them make road side bombing and kill daily many dozen people. If US withdraw its troops the situation shall return to normal and not civil war. There may be civil war if foreign troops stay for uncertain period.

Most of you have a wrong idea about muslims ! you follow media which in its turn follow politics and israelian advocates .
First of all , it is written in Quaran that who kills one person is condmned & considered as if he killed all people , also it prohibits one to kill himself .
But those who you heared to kill others are disperate people & wrong thinking , sometimes when you loss your family & your Land & feels that all people attacking yoy, you feel that life worth nothing . In general not only muslims could kill themselves & others, you remember Japanese soldiers in the 2nd War, the Red indians when European immigrants occupied America, repelians in Duplin , Syrilankian , evev animals when are disperate do the Same !

Tell that person that ALLAH does not ever ever EVER tell a Muslim to kill others for the sake of "greater good". That is first class bull**** and the people influencing him are wrong.
Muhammad's beloved grandfather didn't convert and Muhammad didn't force him even though he knew that his gramps was a very important figure in society and his conversion would have influenced many others.
And to the other dude, stupid men treat their women like crap. Not Muslim men, Christian or Jewish. Muhammad treat his wives like queens. He never beat them at all no matter what they did.

If you can find a religious figure from his past to show him the true Koran, maybe he will see.
Ask him to point out where it says to kill.
Show him some good people in the west who only want peace. Hate only brings more hate. Someone must break this horrific cycle. I hope you can.

well, i guess all you can do is renounce the more violent aspects of your religion and those people who emphasize those aspects. perhaps start or join a movement wherein many many Muslim voices join together to condemn the hate driven violence carried out in Allah's name and in your name as well.
by the way ... thank you for posting this question and helping to undermine the nasty stereotyping of Muslims.

lead a good life by Islam. and guide your Muslim brothers to the true Islam and help them to be knowledgable that some ppl use religion for their political agendas.... the best way to guard ourselves and our brothers and sisters from these things is by being knowledgable of the true Islam
