Use a product made for curly or frizzy hair. I hate to tell you this, but you get what you pay for in hair products. Try Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco shampoo and conditioner (great for your hair type) when your hair is wet try a silicone based styling product for hold and frizz control. Blowdry your hair with a round brush (ceramic) and dryer with as close to 2000 watts as possible (the higher the wattage the hotter it gets, thus saving you time and elbow grease!) Hair stretches up to 50% when it is wet, so continually turn the brush until your hair is 110% dry from roots until ends continually stretching the hair shaft, then let it cool on the barrel of the round brush. When you are completely done, you can flat iron ( with thermal protection spray) the very top layer to smooth. Finish with a shine spray (aerosol). Give yourself time to perfect this, it may not be perfect the first week but that's ok. It takes practice to be truly amazing at anything. Ask your stylist next time to give you a blow dry lesson after your cut. Only let them use scissors, never a razor ( it doesn't seal the ends, thus making you need a cut more often) and get some layers so that you don't have a triangle head. Take pictures to your hairstylist and ask a lot of home maintenance questions.

Go to a hair stylist and get it thined. Also blow dry it or straight iorn it but be careful to not burn them. Bye some products that will prevent from burning them. A lot of people have puffy hair. I do so myself. One of the best thing that works for me is to curl it with moose or some thing so then even if it is puffy it still looks cute.

You might consider a razor cut, it will leave your hair less thick also try Paul Mitchel - super skinny before blow drying - that may help also.
