Ask him what did the ancient Jews do when fellow Jews came around to their homes trying to convert them to what clearly was a religious cult started by an itinerant preach who was lawfully crucified for refusing allegiance to the government, and spreading false doctrine among God's People?

Clearly, it was wrong of these early Jewish Christians to be bothering their fellow Jews at their homes, as well as out in public. If people wanted to know anything about this new religion, or even wanted to join the cult, they would have gone to the new churches and asked.

A Rabbi could give good examples of what those who truly were God's People did about religious door knockers.

Too many so-called "Christians" view their religion as a social club rather than as a way of life which should influence every action the adherent takes. Too many so-called "Christians" do not give any real evidence of taking their so-called "faith" seriously and understanding that it obligates them to do Christ's work.

It seems that three activities can help deepen one's faith; sadly only two of them are acknowledged by most of Christendom's clergy; they are: regular bible reading, regular prayer, and regular personal ministry.

Perhaps these so-called "Christians" are ignorant that the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with PREACHING about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

Sadly, so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications. Yet, the preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

I have zero problem with JWs. If I don't want to talk I tell them I'm not interested. They don't argue unless I want to argue.

I prefer JWs to Fundie Christians. In the JW belief system I die and will be asleep. In the Fundie bs I am burning in hell for eternity.

I don't believe that Jews were or are any more or less God's people than anyone else. I do like that they don't give a care about me one way or the other.

If you don't want Jehovah's Witnesses at you door, just tell them you are not interested in their message and would they please not come back. That's all you have to do.

If you say it was wrong of the early Christians to share their beliefs with others, then you are saying it's wrong to be a Christian, because public witnessing is a Christian requirement. Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 20:20

when Jesus sent out his early disciples he directed them to go to the homes of the people Matt 10:7,11-13
Paul said at acts 20:20,21 i did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house.
zephaniah 2:2,3 says to seek Jehovah all you meek ones of the earth that probably you may be saved
they just want as many people to hear about Jesus their savior

Hi The Papa B. God tells us very clearly what to do if someone with a false gospel comes to your house, we are commanded by God in 2 John 1:9-11:

"Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds."

Now, if we meet them elsewhere, we have an opportunity to witness to them.Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus is not eternal God. They will use a verse like John 14:28 to prove this. The problem is that they are not considering all of what the Bible teaches.

We can see that God and Jesus are one when we look at verses like John 10:30: "I and my Father are one."

Isaiah 43:11"I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour."

John 14:9 (Jesus tells Philip) "...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;"

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Philippians 2:5-11 where we read that Christ empited Himself of His Glory (made himself of no reputation) so he could be our Saviour:

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

We do not have to be belligerent or mean spirited to them, but we must not let them in our homes. We must send them on their way.
