The most underrated elements of a goalkeepers game are defence organisation and ball distribution.

At some levels it can be difficult but try to organise the defence- even if only covering vulnerable spots in set-pieces. Maybe just stopping them rushing headlong towards the ball and leaving areas vacant will be enough.

Ball distribution is your opportunity to start the attack. Fast reactions, and being able to spot kick, drop kick and throw well and accurately are the basics. As you learn to do these quickly it will also help with goal mouth scrambles.

Practice at home. Maybe have a parent or a sibling throw the ball at you. Don't be afraid to dive, that's a big difference between an okay and a great keeper. And don't overuse your feet when trying to get rid of the ball, I know it's a natural reflex but it just gives the ball back to the other team. Remember that you still have to go through the regular tryouts, too. So you'll still have to run a lot and be able to dribble the ball. By any chance is this Alex?

Always keep your head in the game. Always try to anticipate the shot. Don't be afraid to charge the ball. Eliminate the shooters angle at the goal.

Dont be afraid to come out and get the ball. make sure you talk to your team like saying push up or drop or mark up. just be vocal. and make sure u can cut off making the goal smaller, making the other team have a harder time scoring.

cut off all angles, if they have a break away or coming down the wings, run at them at an angle.... so then if they try to shoot near post u can save it, and if they shoot far post you can either dive for it or defelct it w/ ur legs
