2 things, this could be....

1) A piece of bone that has broken off, is working its way to the surface. This happens alot, its no major deal, to freak out over...its very common.

2) You have a bony ridge. Nothing you can do about that. UNLESS its really bothering you. Then you go back to Dentist and he/she can reduce (file) it down. Basically, they'll get a file and file it down, as so its NOT sharp and poking out bothering you. It's an easy procedure, so no worries. They can make a small opening in your gum to file this area. You wont even need stitches, its so minor. Happens all the time.......

This usually happens alot when you have your wisdom teeth extracted. If it bothers you too much go back and see your dentist! I think alot of ppl go through this and the splinters of bone works its way out eventually....Hope this helped you!

SHARP BONY EDGES ARE AN OCCASIONAL OCCURRENCE OF TOOTH EXTRACTION. THESE NORMALLY REABSORB W/O CONSEQUENCE. IF AFTER 2 WEEKS, THERE IS STILL A PROBLEM GO BACK TO THE DENTIST WHO DID THE EXTRACTION.
