It depends on how much turkey you're talking about.
If you take a dog who's been on dried food most of its life and give it a bunch of turkey leftovers from the Thanksgiving table, odds are you're going to end up with a dog that's sick from the sudden change in diet...
If you have a dog who has been fed turkey regularly with the intent of it being his staple diet (instead of a "holiday treat"), it should be okay.

My dog has been eating turkey for years with no problems. The thing you have to watch out for is that they dont accidently eat small bones. That could be deadly.
But giving a dog turkey meat is not a bid deal. It's rather healthy for them.

If you think the best way to a dog's heart is through food, think again. Foods high in fat -- such as the table scraps that we humans cut away from our meats -- can cause canine pancreatitis and gastroenteritis, serious and potentially fatal conditions. Pancreatitis or inflammation of the pancreas can result in a complete loss of appetite, frequent vomiting, diarrhea that may contain blood, weakness and abdominal pain (apparent through whimpering and restlessness). The reactions can range from barely noticeable to a severe shock-like collapse that can result in death. These conditions can occur after raids on garbage cans, also. Gastroenteritis is inflammation of the stomach and intestines' lining and has similar symptoms. These cases often require hospitalization and fluid relacement.

**Although most people dont mind sharing with their pets, our food is often seasoned or cooked in such a way that would not be good or could even be harmful. When in doubt, DONT...

The turkey is OK for them to eat. It is the turkey bones that potentially could be dangerous to them.
