Our church has given us money unexpectedly on several occasions, without our asking. They know that my husband has been out of work for a long time. I would like to say thank you but don't know who to thank or how. Any suggestions

How very nice. I would put a small thank you notice in the bulletin. Just say the -----family would like to thank our brothers and sisters for the recent kindness. It was greatly appreciated

Go get a Thank You card and Place it on the bulliten board at the church and tell your preacher to announce that you have given a thank you card and its on the board. Write a little note saying. There are no friends better than Gods people. You have helped us in this time of need, and my family and I do not know how much to thank you for the help. I pray that god will watch over each and every one of you and may you receive the blessings that you deserve.

one thing you can do is thank God ,and im sure you have but keep in mind that the word says do unto others as you would have them do unto you so there giving because they want to give and their reward comes from just seeing it make a difference in your life and the word also says that what youve done to the least of the brethren you have done unto me also.Just keep in mind that God loves you vcery much and he is very mindfull of you he will supply all of your needs and chooses most of the time to do his works through people.you could however show your appreciation by just simply sharing your heart in front of the congregation by asking the pastor if you could talk for just afew minutes tell the people that you are thankfull for all that you have done for me and my family and that it has beensuch a great help tell them you know that God will always make away when their seems to be no way My God is an awesome God

I am a Jehovah's Witness, my Husband is not! He caused my family countless grief over the years in messed up finances.

Many times I would come home from Kingdom Hall and find money stuffed in my purse or briefcase!

Dear Child! you know who to thank...Thank God!

It has taken me years to bail out my kids and myself from HUBBIES indiscretions, but I do what I can!
I go out into the door to door work. I plant and rake up around the Hall.
I give rides to all the elderly and infirmed friends in the congregation.

I smile and I participate in all the meetings to encourage those around me to keep their faith in God as I did.

Remember the widow with only two coins?

It was better than gold, because it was the BEST she could do.

God does not need money, He WANTS our best efforts.

just like those two small coins were the widows BEST effort!

LOVE, GOD IS LOVE!

If your church does a weekly bulletin ask the pastor if you can add a simple announcement such as

The Smith family wishes to thank the congregation for their unexpected kindness.

Compose a Thank You note and have the pastor read it to the congregation. That way, you can thank both your church and express your appreciation for the anonymous donors.

You should return the money and tell them your self respect is more important than whatever it is you're spending the money on. "Give" is just as bad a word as "beg" and both are crimes, though unacknowledged in this country. Giving (throwing) away what you've earned is no better than taking (stealing) what you haven't earned. Moral Human interaction is based on fair trade, not force (yes, begging is using force against another person, with guilt as your weapon). Anything less is immoral. At least a robber with a gun is honest in his intent.

Ask your Pastor to allow you to testify to your church how you have been blessed by the members and express your thanks and God's blessings to the givers at the same time..
