in my opinion, he wants to be recognized for doing something good or fighting for something that will give him a good look as well as make him money

the profits are going to a US "non-profit bipartisan effort to move public opinion"

all the source information is out there for "free", eg melting glaciers. but then it is not valued when it is scientific - people would rather buy (either directly or by advertising) the nice, happy, story peddled by mainstream media and politicians sponsored by the big polluting corporations that there is nothing to worry about, carry on as you are. To compete with that takes a lot of $.

You can probably get the book for free from your local library now and the DVD for a small fee when it is released after xmas.

It shouldn't be that hard for him considering that he invented the internet :\

Answer: The money probably would go towards organizations that are searching for alternative energy and what not.

at least that's the answer that WOULD make the most sense but who knows.
