Two monks were once travelling together down a muddy road. A heavy rain was falling. Coming around a bend, they met a lovely girl in a silk kimono and sash, unable to cross the intersection.
"Come on, girl," said the first monk. Lifting her in his arms, he carried her over the mud.
The second monk did not speak again until that night when they reached a lodging temple. Then he no longer could restrain himself. "We monks don't go near females," he said. "It is dangerous. Why did you do that?"
"I left the girl there,: the first monk said. "Are you still carrying her?"

I believe repentence is important to becoming a nun . . . I knew a nun who once was a prostitute. I know widows with children can become nuns. Now being very sexually active and not repenting would be a horse of a different color.

No but, it helps. Sexual activity before marriage is sin unless it is due to rape. All sin damages the soul. Sin when exercised becomes stronger until the virtues practiced are stronger than it so it may be just a little bit harder for a person to take the vow of chastity is all. The vows are meant to be from that point onward.

No. Many nuns are widows who choose to be celibate the rest of their life.

Why would you want to be one, the Catholic religion is steeped in Pagan tradition. It has no real study or knowledge of the bible, its all man made tradition. Study the bible and pray for true knowledge yourself, ask yourself: What are the signs of the true religion Jesus preached about?
