Please don't laugh but this is my first time making a receipe with "cubed bread" in it. How exactly do I cube bread?

Thanks to people for being rude. This is my first time following almost any recipe and I wanted to make certain I didn't make any mistakes. I wasn't sure if there were any specific sizes for the cubes. It's for Pineapple Stuffing.

Actual CUBES would be perfectly square and with thin bread that would mean small cubes.

You will need a serated bread knife. You can not cube bread without it. just stack the slices and cut lengthwise and widthwise, and there you'll have your cubes. Again, if you don't have the proper tools, it won't work.

Assuming it is for stuffing, Cut the bread into 1/2" slices ( I put mine at this point into a 275º oven for 35-40 minutes, so the slices dry slightly. When cooled, stack four at a time, and cut each stack into one-inch squares.

AND.... don't EVEN press down.. You should be supporting part of the weight of the knife as you gently saw back and forth to let it fall through the slices of bread. I cut it into strips, then turn the pile and do the same thing to get the cubes. Gently.... gently - like you were brushing your baby's teeth.

Grand Marnier Bread Pudding with California Golden Raisins

A great dessert, but it could become a quick breakfast favorite, too.

INGREDIENTS
1 orange
3/4 cup sugar, divided
3/4 cup California golden raisins
6 tablespoons Grand Marnier
2 tablespoons warm water
6 eggs
3 cups milk
2 French baguettes
1 cup apricot coulis
PROCEDURE
Grate orange peel and squeeze juice from the orange; mix together with 1/4 cup sugar. Let stand for 1 hour. Soak raisins in Grand Marnier and warm water. In a separate bowl, mix eggs with milk; add orange juice mixture and raisins. Cube bread in pieces 1-inch thick. Soak cubes in egg mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a sautépan, caramelize the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and a few drops of water. Pour caramelized sugar into bottom of a glass or non-reactive loaf pan. Pour bread mixture into pan and baked at 350°F in a water both for 1 hour, or until sharp knife inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool for 3 hours.

To serve, remove from pan and slice. Arrange on individual plates; surround with apricot coulis.
