Be sure all ingredients are well combined and they are going into a hot oven. Cakes fall do to an imbalance of the egg to milk ratio if you blend the liquids then add them to the dry ingredients you will be pleased with the results.

some time it just happens that way or if you open the door to soon then it will fall. But do not throw the cake away, you can always whip up some cream and put it in the middle of the cake with some jelly. If you have Kids they will love it
or you can make a pudding out of it with custard, or do all there
and make it into a cold dessert
May God bless you and have a great day

Good cake pans are essential--Follow the recipe exactly--butter pans and dust with flour--tap out excess flour.

bakerscatalogue.com (or 1-800-827-6836) has a new cake baker's accessory. It is a wrap that goes around the outside of the pan and stops the cake from "doming" in the center or sinking. These cake layers must be kept flat to decorate.

This catalog comes from King Arthur Flour company in Vermont and sells anything any baker would want.

No loud noises. Do not slam the oven door.
I have only had this happen once in all the years of baking. But I actually like the more "condensed" version of the cake.
