Are they the just one thing? I've figured that "no-mind" is meditation, but I don't know if it is Samadhi.
If they are two different things, kindly state what is what.
Thanks!

Hogen, a Chinese Zen teacher, lived alone in a small temple in the country. One day four traveling monks appeared and asked if they might make a fire in his yard to warm themselves.

While they were building the fire, Hogen heard them arguing about subjectivity and objectivity. He joined them and said: "There is a big stone. Do you consider it to be inside or outside your mind?"

One of the monks replied: "From the Buddhist viewpoint everything is an objectification of mind, so I would say that the stone is inside my mind."

"Your head must feel very heavy," observed Hogen, "if you are carrying around a stone like that in your mind."

Meditation is a thing! to do that can bring you a state of perfect
unity with the universal energy. That state is Samadhi

Let me say this...Samadhi means "total absorption".
In Aikido I teach the eight limbs of classical Aikido.
Yama, "Ethics"
Niyama, "Discipline",
Asana, "Graceful postures",
Pranayama, "Breath control",
Pratyahara, "Freedom from bewilderment",
Dharana, "Fixing the mind",
Dhyana, "Meditation",
Samadhi, "Total absorption".Further-more: Samadhi goes hand in hand with all these eight limbs of classical Yoga in the highest levels. Yrs and yrs of practice blending all these together. If you do not practice these in Aikido, and blend with the emptiness of Pure Void, you will not find the path of Aiki.
If you can you can read the book: "The Secrets of Aikido"
By John Stevens Professor of Buddhist Studies and Aikido Instructor at Tohoku Fukushi University in Sendai Japan.
Good luck to you...
Peace.....

'No mind', like meditation, is the state where there is no interruption between yourself and the world. In other words, if you are hungry, you don't sit there and 'think' about being hungry, worrying if you are hungry or not, wondering/fearing if other people should see you eating. 'If you are hungry, eat' is the basic tenent of how 'samadhi' is experienced, whether in meditation or elsewhere: 'if you are peaceful, sit there'.
