I have a 12 ounce bag of cranberries. What can I do to make some interesting and easy sauce for tomorrow? Thanks. :-)

Whole Cranberry Sauce

3 c. cranberries
3/4 c. water
1-1/2 c. sugar

Simmer cranberries and water together. While simmering, mash lightly with potato masher, but not too much. Add sugar; simmer for 10 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Put into container and refrigerate. Makes about 2 cups of sauce.

I like to add things; candied orange rind is delicious in cranberry sauce. You can make candied orange rind by boiling the rinds with sugar syrup, or you can buy candied orange made already at Whole Foods market.

There is also a website www.wiscran.org with some good recipes for cranberry.

Happy Thanksgiving! Congratulations for doing cranberry from scratch. The canned stuff is vile sometimes. The fresh version is easy, quick and very good!
