Okay, he is in the process of a divorce. We became friends with benefits - but then he called it off until everything is final because he felt guilty. He said "god knows what is in my heart and what is in your heart, but that still doesn't make it right.." he says that he needs to push me away for MY sake (baby mama drama with his ex) and HIS sake.

So, we called off the benefits, started getting to be closer friends and I started having feelings.

Now he says that I have no chance in hell of being anything other than friends with him.

I don't think he was using me, because we hung out without having sex.

What the hell happened? I'm completely lost. Does he like me and is scared? Why did he rule me out?

Uh hello, he is married. Find your own guy to mess with. The only thing you did is believe some lying cheating dirtbag.

friends with benefits is a bad concept.. eventually, one or the other will end up getting emotinally hurt.

i don't think he ever valued you as a human being. he only saw you as a quick sex fix.. it's not that he was using you intentionally. i think he was just very confused about what he wanted in life.

divorces are nightmares to go thru. the last thing this guy needs is a friends-with-benefits situation. i also don't think he's going to be ready to date or be in a relationship until he has time to let his divorce sink in..

i think you'd be best to move on and start a new search.. and i'd certainly suggest that you give up this silly friends-with-benefits approach. that is so not the right way to develop a serious relationship. sex without love is empty and meaningless.

Step away until the divorce is over, then see if there is anything between the two of you...
