i'm making sweet potatoe casserole and need "mashed" sweet potatoes to start with but am unsure of the temp and amt of time to leave then in the oven so they will be the proper consistency to use in the casserole. thanks!

about 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. a fork or knife should easily go through. let them cool to the touch, and clean out the potatoes and put them in a casserole.

350 and add butter to the bottom of the dish so it will not burn.

also keep them in till the casserole has soft sweet potatoes.

i usually bake sweet potatoes like baked potatoes, for about an hour at 400 degrees. maybe a little less time if they are small.

depending on how many there are, for each sweet potatoe you used, about 5 min per tater. lol put it on about 350-375 degrees. =]
