You sent out a nice questions and answer. Here is a little more information for us all to look at.
Resurrection, resurrection bodies:
Resurrection means to be raised from the dead (John 5:28,29). The word is used in different contexts in the Bible. Lazarus was raised from the dead (John 11:43). This is a resurrection, but it is not part of the resurrection that occurs when we receive our new bodies when Christ returns (1 Thess. 4:13-18), on the last day (John 6:39-44) when the last trumpet is blown (1 Cor. 15:51-55). Lazarus died again. The resurrection of Jesus is promissory in that as we know He was raised, so we will be raised also. In that context, Jesus is the only one who has received a resurrected body. That is why He is called the first-fruit from the dead (1 Cor. 15:20-23). We will receive our bodies either at the rapture or when Jesus returns to earth.
The resurrected body is not subject to death or sin. We know very little about it except what was manifested by Jesus after His resurrection; namely, that He was able to move about as He desired -- in and out of rooms without the use of doors. Other than that, the rest is conjecture. (See 1 Cor. 15).

Look, it is really simple. NO one goes anywhere!! At the first resurrection the saints and those saints yet alive meet Jesus in the AIR and are conveyed too heaven, every one else suffers the first death, you know the one we are all doomed to experience? Satan and his fallen angels are confined to this earth until the thousand years are over at which time we all return with the New Jerusalem, the wicked are resurrect (second resurrection), at which time they will be shown why they are not with the saints and then all - devil, demon, wicked humans - will be burned until they have paid for their sins (second death), at which time God will recreate the earth, and will erase from ALL memories (including His own) of the wicked and their works. That is how we will be able to be happy, because we will not be able to remember sin or sinners, but we will know what sin is, just not any particulars of this life.

Everyone born on this earth, whether wicked or righteous, will be resurrected at a certain time dictated by Jesus Christ. That means their body and their spirit will once again unite and never again separate.
After the resurrection, the judgment of Jesus Christ will occur.

All the good don't go to heaven. I'm sorry, if good was the basis of going to heaven then whats the ground? What may be good to you is not to me or jesus. Besides ephesians 2 8-9
For it is by grace you are saved, through FAITH and this not of yourselves, it is a gift from GOD *NOT BY WORKS* so that no man can boast.
Through faith in Jesus we are saved, Not by our good deeds or works. Two more verses that define how to go to heaven is. John 3:16
ANd this one however i forgot the verse. "I am the way the truth and the light, no one goes to the Father except through Me."
Hope this helps

ebidmelec...,
If it took being 'good' according to the Bible, none of us would enter in, the bill being 'perfect', it could not be paid by anyone other than Jesus Christ. That's why He is the Christ. The Messiah.
The ones being resurrected to eternal life are those that trust God through Jesus Christ. No others.
So we have the choice to make, either go His way, or go some other way.

No hell and SURPRISE!!!! Most of us stay here after the Resurrection to life on a repaired earth!
Think about it when you say the Our Father, Let thy Kingdom come, Let thy will be done ON EARTH as it is in Heaven.
Now Go read Genesis....What was Gods will for the earth?

No one is in heaven now but the Father and the Son. And angels. Everyone who has ever died in this world is still dead. They will not be ressurected until the first or second ressurection. If you are raised in the second ressurection more than likely your going to be sent to the lake of fire.

There will be a resurrection of "both the righteous and the unrighteous." That number is in the billions probably.
Only 144, 000 will go to heaven.
No one but God truly knows who goes where :)

all the good are not going to heaven and all the bad are not going to hell... the born again are all going to heaven and the non-believers are going to hell... you can have some very good people who contribute a lot ot the community and are nice to everyone and everything like taht, but they are still going to go to hell if they do not see that Jesus is the savior and he came to earth and died for us and was risen again the thrid day...

For there are none righteous. No, not one. You need to brush up on your theology. Nobody on this earth is good. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
The only ones who will enter into eternal life are those that have repented of their sins and trust Jesus to save them on Judgment Day.
