Ever heard of the Crusades? One prime example of the force with which religion is often spread.

Well, I would say Paul started it off... but overall it didn't spread till the Roman Catholic Church stepped in after the fall of the Roman Empire. Rome already "owned" almost a 1/3 of the civilized world, so when it fell and the Church stepped in it then owned 1/3 of the world. Hasn't anyone ever wondered how the Church got so rich so fast?????? And didn't anyone wonder why, after all this "Greatness" that supposedly happened, that we were suddenly thrown into an era that is now called the Dark Ages?

Paul was one of many messengers to carry the word of God. But it has been a slow spread. Even today, in many parts of the world, Christianity is unknown. Over the past 2,000 years it has spread gradually, finding acceptance in some places, rejection in others.
Was Paul the first 'missionary'? That's really hard to say. He is the first we know of, but that doesn't mean there weren't others who went unrecorded.

It spread because it was the truth and only way to be saved. All of the apostles played a role in writing Scripture and spreading the Gospel.

It spread because it answered questions and delivered a message that explained more to more people.

Christianity is the fusion of Old Hebrew laws with Buddhist tolerance.

It was successful because it filled a need in the hearts and minds of iron age people.

The rest continued to follow out of tradition and because nothing better has come along....

Because of the love of GOD and his word that gives great love and hope to anyone who accepts his word...this meaning he who lives by the word will be greatly rewared in heaven. Thanks to all of the disciples, not just Paul. Paul was great man...have you read the book of REVELATION. A masterpiece....scarry though. What is even scarrier is that people take his word for granted more and more daily. How can you live in this world and not have him as your savior...now that is scarry. Sad that alot of people do not believe........one day they will and it will be too late. Repent today!
