We had a deaf White English/ American Bulldog. She was the sweetest. Unfortunately she got out of the fence and was hit by a car. So, make sure they do not get near any roads. We taught are dog hand signals. She would come, stay, sit, and lay down.

Step one in being a dependable breeder is to appreciate and attempt to do away with genetic well being problems for your puppies. Breeding to a deaf canine would now not be dependable. I expect that deafness is a genetic drawback within the American Bulldog because of their coloration. White Boxers are additionally as a rule born deaf. If this male's deafness is genetically linked you are going to no longer be doing the breed a want via passing on his genes.

Deaf dogs need some extra supervision. I suggest crating them indoors when you are not home so that they remain safe.

Supervise all outdoor activity, and do not let anyone sneak up on them.

You can teach them hand commands, and have a very obedient dog.

Thank you for looking past her "disability" and realizing she can still be a wonderful pet!

Animals understand body language. They can also be trained with sign language, or signs that you create. You can find sign language books at your local library or online.
