If they are indeed fleas, such a small number, should she have brought some home, won't stick around too long if you don't have pets. Dog and cat fleas generally prefer dogs and cats. They will bite certain humans but it's a bit like eating the last cracker in the cupboard.

I'd just keep to your normal vacuuming routine. In the very off chance should your house become infested, which it won't because there isn't a viable food source, you can always flea bomb.

Put hydro-cortisone on the flea bites, it's basically a topical steroid, reduces inflammation and itching. I had a couple of stray cats in my neighborhood and they attracted fleas, which jumped on me, entered my house on my clothes, and subsequently laid eggs in my carpet. Tired of the flea bites, I went to Petsmart and purchased flea killing carpet powder, which I dusted my carpet with, let sit, and vacuumed. Problem solved.

believe it or not, try to get a piece of a banana tree and cut the stalk into small pieces and hide them around the house.
I guess the flea's don't like the scent ( which you can't smell ) and they go away.
They could also be bed bug bites.
Apply Benadryl on the bites

Calamine lotion and aloe for her skin. You probably don't have to do anything but if you notice an infestation in your house there are can's of - I forget the name - but you set it in the middle of the room and it sprays stuff all over it. Then you let it air out. It kills all the things living in there: fleas, tics, mites, etc...

You can use white vinegar on these bumps and it will help with the hurting. I use it when I have bee stings and wasps the have stung me and it takes the sting away.
