I am 71 pounds, 5"3, and female.
I can't take it! None of the boys want to get out with me beause I'm too skinny or too bony. I eat a lot but I do not gain any weight.
Today I ate cereal, a salad, chips, and a tuna wrap, and I didn't gain any weight.
I don't know what to do, I am not anorexic, and my parents won't let me take any gaining weight pills. Please help me!!!!!
(The doctor said I am underweight)

hopefully, your doctor has conducted thorough investigations into why you are unable to gain weight. there HAS to be an organic reason for this situation. i would speak with your parents and have them insist that further studies be conducted.
as the the boys not wanting to date you, are you certain of this or is it your assumption? it's easy for me to say, but one day the right boy will come along and sweep you off your feet for being just who you are.

I would suggest you see a good gastroenterologist ASAP to determine if you have an inflammatory bowel disease. Believe me, a regular physician won't be able to figure this out, as he may simply chalk it up to you either not eating well.

Like you, I had for years difficulty putting on weight, although I constantly ate. As a guy, I was eating close to 2,500 calories/day, to no avail. After visiting an internist and having conducting several tests, it was determined that I have a disease called Crohn's. We had concluded that it had essentially eaten up much of my daily caloric intake, as inflammation feeds off of calories.

I had a more severe case in which I pursued surgery of my small intestine, but other people with Crohn's fare well with periodic doses of steroid antibiotics such as prednisone, which WILL allow you to gain weight in a very short period of time whilst fighting the Crohn's (which unfortunately can never be totally cured)

Ask your parents to get you some Boost or Ensure -- it is a drink like SlimFast only to help you gain weight instead of loosing weight. My tall skinny son drank vanilla Boost when he first got braces and his teeth hurt too much to eat.
Also, eat more often during the day and evening. Don't eat junk food, but eat pb sandwiches, ice cream, crackers and cheese -- stuff that is good for you, but has high calories.
Most of us have the opposite problem!! Seems we are never happy with our bodies.............

fist of all, how old is u
if u r a teenage, then u r still growing
its normal
just wait when u stop growing then u will be fat...
but be sure don't eat that much either or u will be very fat and i am sure that no guy will want to go out with a fat lady...
or u can try some humburge or ice cream even cholcolate will help...

i dont knwo how to tell u this hunny.. but that isn't REAL food!.... try a hamburger.. chicken... icecream.. chocolate.. i'm not saying to eat like a pig.. but eat REAL food. meh atleast u can't gain weight...

!you can try what I do when ever I want to gain weight, I have to eat peanut butter or french fries about 5minutes before i go to bed! my doctor had me try ensure for about 3 months, it only helped me maintain my weight and I hated the taste of it! my parents use to tell my grandma if she did not eat dinner she had to drink 1 in order to get her to eat dinner!

Have the Dr. prescribe a diet for you or drink a diet supplement like boost or ensure. you are probably not eating enough calories

Don't worry. As you get older, you will be able to hang on to the weight. Just enjoy not having to worry about being too heavy for now.

exercise for a whil to build muscle cuz if you have enough to eat then you should be healty enough so you won't die if u exercise on until u gain muscle and see how you look and feel after that

ok first you should not be doing this for ANY guy there is nooo guy in this world to tell you wat they are looking for in a girl and then you have to change to be like wat they want they like you because of who n what you are you need to understand that i hope i helped you to understand that
