This question seems to be asked almost every day. And the answer remains the same. Quite mixed. As for me I choose to believe man created god (little g) as a means to guide and control the people.

People created all the gods.

But that is a sign of hope, not despair.

We have the capacity to reason and create and live compassionately.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth............

Then God said" Let us make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness..............( the OUR is a reference to the Trinity)

The Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Think not. This deals with belief. Belief in reveal knowledge. That revealed knowledge is explicit about God creation everything including people.

But it is a belief. There is no revelation regarding people creating God.
