Citizens from the new EU countries - visitors or immigrants - can drive in any EU country, including the UK, with their own valid driving licences, issued anywhere in the EU.
No, they don't have to take a driving test. And they don't need a full British driving license. As I mentioned - they have their own and its valid in the UK.

The Menai Pass and Devil's Horseshoe is particularly noteworthy. Try the reverse route from Weston -S - Mare, and go via the Harbrook Interchange towards the New Invention estate. At the hill crest, hang a left till reaching Greshan Copse and take the route to Devil Crest. 59 mins, but quite a beaut to cruise. There is an excellent pub along there too called The Friar's Arms. Used to serve Flowers Mild and Palerider Ale. Bostin busty blinking bogs!

I think some foreigners are terrible drivers and don't understand roundabouts or being in the correct lane when turning off a road into another!!!!

I think the answer to the Q will be NO!!!!!!

No they don't take a test.
It's just like when you hire a car in Spain or France etc, you can drive on a UK/EU licence.

no-- not from the EU
was working with an Indian chap once.he drove to/from work everyday. he was dead religious and law abiding etc......
after a few months i saw him reading a'how to pass a driving test@ book.turns out they can drive for one year on their indian liscence then they have to pass the test.
so in theory if he went to do a driving test after being here for 10 months, he could drive himself to the test centre, fail the test, then drive himself home. this countries mad......... he drives a bus now- must have passed..............
