The problem we have here is that the Bible did not specifically state that God made the Big Bang happen, therefore the Big Bang theory is in opposition to the Bible. The Bible is to be taken literally, exactly as it's written, so you cannot assume or theorize anything that isn't written to fill in the gaps. You must believe exactly as the Bible states; there is not acceptable alternative. At least that's what people that use the Bible to bash gays say. . .

I believe the problem is that in the Bible the Earth is created first and the 'heavens' or universe are created around it. Also the whole 7 day schedule conflicts with the explaination of the 'Big Bang' occuring and then it taking a very long time for the universe to congeal out of the resulting mass.

Things like evolutionary theory and the big bang theory are born out of naturalism which states that the universe is all there is and ever will be and assumes there is no supernatural or god.

What use does a theist need with big bang or evolution? Gods creation is the most important theme in our origins. Evolution and big bang are an attempt to explain how the universe and we came into being without the assistance of a god.

It says in Genesis that God created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. It does not say anything specifically about the creation of the "universe" though. What makes people of faith hate the big bang theory? I am not a Christian (nor do I consider myself a "person of faith"), so I can't answer that first hand. It seems to me though, that perhaps they are against it because the Bible does speak of the creation of the earth, and it is the word of their God. I assume they feel no need to break it down any further, and just accept what is given to them in the spirit of being a good Christian. They believe the Bible to be the ultimate truth, and that works for them.

God who existed before created everything we can observed.

The big bang theory is exactly that, a scientific theory that explains the fact. A fact is an observation by men (not plural) independent of location.

There is no scientific theories concerning God since there are no God facts. Why? Because God exists outside of what we can observed.

There is no contradiction; however, the bible is a religious book not a science or history book.

It doesn't. Many people think that "Let there be light" was the Big Bang.

Problems come in with evolution, however. It's really hard to believe in both evolution and the creation story.

It says that he created the heavens and the Earth. Heavens implies the universe.

It doesnt by that logic. It does in that it fails to recognize God.
