MY HUSBAND IS BEING CHARGED WITH POSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBTANCE. METAMPHETAMINES TO BE EXACT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT AMOUNT HE HAD ON HIM, BUT HE WASN'T UNDER THE INFLUENCE. HIS BAIL AMOUNT IS 10,000.

DOES ANYONE KNOW APPROX. HOW MUCH JAIL TIME THEY MIGHT GIVE HIM?

Govt. is very harsh on meth possesion b/c it is america's top drug right now. If he is a 1st offender hopefully he can get probation and rehab but otherwise it is a felony so they could give him a few weeks but nothing any harsher then that because its simple poss.

He could get 2 to 10 depends on how much an if it was for resell or if he has a lab he could get 25 to life but you can get a cheap divorce sounds like he is sorry to me let the sob rot in jail

Depends on whether this is his first offense, and the amount he had in his possession. If he had a lot, he could be charged as a dealer, and the penalty is way more severe than just for using.

If he wasn't under the influence, then the must be a dealer. Or, he was gettin' it for you or somebody else. He'll go to court soon. Call his PUBLIC DEFENDER & they will fill you in if you are his legal wife. Minimum would be 6 months in CA, just to pay off his fines, then if he has a jury trial & looses, he could go away for up to 5 years. It all depends on his background & his attitude. They'll be watching you closely, so you should clean up your act too!

Depends on what State you are in. Look up statutes for your state, it will give you the min., and max sentence if found guilty.

It depends what state you live in and has he had any prior offense against him for Meth? My brother is serving a 7 year sentence in Kansas for Meth!!!!
