I dyed it black about a week ago and it seems to already be fading. I love the way it looks on me, and so does everyone I know. I don't know when I'm going to be able to afford more dye. The shampoo/conditioner I use is TreSemme Color Revitalize.

any build up of conditioner on your hair can cause this to happen use dish soap to wash your hair to strip out excess conditioner build up.. wait at least 24 hours then colour.. I had the same problem.. it doesn't do it any more... by doing this...
Condition build up won't let the colour stick and that is why it washes out/ fades after a few washes:)

It depends on what dye brand you use and how long did you wait for the dye.
I recommend Matrix: Biolage for colored or treated hair. It works really well. It says it's only sold in professional salons, but I saw it at Target. It costs about a 20 bucks for a large, but its so worth it.

after color if u use henna on hair then it may hold the color.
