A blueprint is a plan or technical drawing usually documenting an architecture or an engineering design. More generally, the term "blueprint" has come to be used to refer to any detailed plan.

A schematic is a diagram, drawing, or sketch that details the elements of a system, such as the elements of an electrical or electronic circuit or the elements of a logic diagram for a computer or communications system.

Blueprinting is an obsolete method of copying drawings. It was a nasty process that used toxic reagents and was generally inconvenient and unpleasant. Knowledgeable engineers and technicians no longer use the term. Just say. "hand me the drawing of so-and-so," and everybody will understand. If you said, "Hand me the blueprint of so-and-so," you might get chuckled at.

A schematic is a diagram that shows the relationships of the elements in a system or structure in a functional, rather than a positional scheme.

For example, in an electronic schematic, the locations of components in the picture may have no relationship to the locations of the same components in the actual device; however, the schematic diagram will show how the components are connected to each other and how they affect each other.

Aviophage is only partially correct and obviously loves to give thumbs down. Copied from somewhere but Blueprinting is the ability to take what "can" be referred to as a drawing to the uneducated in drafting but which is actually a detailed, precise detail of a building or an item to be constructed and reproduce it on what is called a BlueLine machine so the ability to distribute the details and specs to the builders is available. The blueprint is used by ARCHITECTS who do not do drawings but actualy prints. Copying from the internet is not always the best resource.
