yeah ive heard of the adhd patch i forgot what it was called too. but i dont think theres much difference between the patch and the pill because i read about the patch side efects and they werent much different then the pill the growth stunt thing im pretty sure is still part of the patch too though. also unless they made more than one patch then the adhd patch is only for children 12 and younger so if your older than that i dont think you can get it. im sure they'll make one for older people too soon. and maybe it will have less side effects. good luck :)
plus depending on how long youve been on the meds maybe you should just try going without them period. maybe you dont need them anymore :)

ADHD meds can slow growth but they shouldn't make you stop growing altogether. I think that the patch, like most of the ADHD meds out there, is a stimulant...which is likely to have similar effects as far as growth goes. There is one medication approved for ADHD that is a non-stimulant called Strattera. I don't know if that would also interfere with growing, but at least you can present your doctor with the types of medications you have heard about and they can help decide which one would be best for you.

i took daytrana the first month it came out. you can get a card from your dr for 40 free patches.

for me, they didn't work as well as i would like. they left my hip red and tender to touch. they sometimes caused a little discomfort while wearing them. they also didn't stick as well as i thought they should. i wore mine in the shower like you can and it came off. i also had my jeans rub it and it came off a couple times.

if you cannot take the pills for some reason definitely try the patch. the side effects are less harsh and you can pull it off whenever you want to stop your meds. it is time released so you have the effects of the meds for up to 9 hours but it is like being able to spit at the pill if you want too.

apparently i have read that you build up a tolerance to the meds pretty quickly too.

if i was young, i am an adult with add, i would definitley try it.

talk wiht your dr.
