Honey can cause infant botulism which is VERY serious.

Nuts and eggs whites are potential allergens. Some people say introducing them early can cause allergies. Some people just say allergic reactions are more serious in babie under 1 year. Use your best judgement.

Honey is bad for babies as it can grow botulinum spores which can create a toxin and create paralysis in young infants.
botulinum is an anaerobic bacterium producing botulin, the toxin that causes botulism
My mother runs a daycare and can not feed children under the age of 3 yrs any nut products. Nuts by themselves are not just a choking risk but it has been proven that young children can't digest the nuts well and their bodies form allergies towards them that can be life threatening.
On the same note young babies digestive systems react much the same way with eggs. They too can set off a bad allergic reaction in a young infant. Infants immune systems aren't strong enough to fight off possible salmonella also.
When in doubt, leave it out.

Honey can contain bacterial spores that cause Infant Botulism, which is definitely something to be avoided. Nuts are difficult for babies to chew, but I gave my son peanut butter around 10 months. There is some risk of allergy to nuts, but a year is not a magic number when it comes to being allergic or not. I have not heard anything about not giving eggs, as long as they are entirely cooked - no runny middles, or you would risk salmonella poisoning. Hope this helps.

Nuts are both a strong allergen and a choking hazard
Honey is unpasteurized and can make the baby very sick. such as botulism
Eggs - allergen risk
Avoid shellfish for the same reason.
Talk to your doctor, and no matter what you decide remember its best to introduce any new food in small quantities and in a pure form to determine if there is an allergy
However, two sons and while I didn't feed the baby peanuts, his older brother lived on them.

Nuts and Eggs are the most common allergies in children under two. Experts say that children who are not exposed to them are more likely to outgrow the allergy and as adults, won't be allergic! Also, if they are allergic, they are more likely to have a fatal reaction if they are younger. For eggs, they say under one - for nuts, they say under two.
As for honey - I know in babies it can cause a problem that can kill babies, but you would have to look into it, as I don't know exactly what it is.

Hi
That is because those producs (as well as strawberries and oranges) can cause allergies.
By the way, babies under 1 y.o. are allowed to eat egg yolk. It is actually good for them, just boil an egg untill its fully cooked (which is like 5 minutes boiling), mash it, mix with mashed vegetables and give to your baby.
Only egg white is a no no.

They can choke on honey. It's consistency is too thick for their little throats. Nuts are highly allergenic. I'm not sure about eggs, though.
