The liberals were squacking over panties on the head, dogs barking at them, and humiliation which is not torture.Hell my brothers did things worse to me than what the prisoners at guantanamo and gitmo went through. They are all for the rights of the enemy and all for strengthening their cause. Its a disgusting shame..,ask the soldiers what they feel about the libs and they make no bones in telling you that they are feeding the enemy. Its even more disgusting that they dont care.

Yeah well I think that higher moral standard applies when the enemy follows the rules too.
Geneva conventions apply to countries that sign the the treaty.Insurgents and terrorists are NOT uniformed personnel. The are scum and should be defeated by all means.
Oh opps that's not nice in today's pu-syfied America.I say if the enemy doesn't have to play by the rules then countries than signed to play by the rules should be allowed to bend them.Yeah,I know my line of thinking doesn't go with the new age hippy sh-t.I don't care. How many of you are here? We're at war.War is not nice.Sorry to break it to you.I know it should be flowers and candy but it's not.Real men die/get wounded everyday from real enemy that DOESN'T play by the f-cking rules. If saw some of our boys after a F-cking IED hits them, ALL of you would sing a different Fu-king tune.Missing legs/arms,chunks missing from their bodies, extreme burns and disfigurement. And you wonder why some of our boys are for torturing the little fu-kheads.
Don't judge what our boys do till you see if for yourself or have been here.
Give me all the thumbs down all you liberal fa-got war opposers want to.I don't give a sh-t.

It's not okay for any one to abuse POWs, but it's a fact of life (or maybe I should say war). I would dare say it's a common practice for every nation in history that has gone to war. If you had ever been in combat you might understand the hate of your enemy after seeing what they were had done to your own troops. It's easy for arm chair commandos to point a finger at the US and place all the blame. I would also dare say the US is about the best in our world in the treatment of prisoners.

Other Nations that abuse POW’s are often uncivilized. The people that do the abuse are also called war criminals. When a nation as well developed as the United States practices torture it tends to get people talking. It is against international law to torture prisoners. Also if we torture our prisoners, it sets an example that it is okay to torture a US soldier (when captured by the enemy).

The US military is held to a higher moral standard. in order to win wars we need to first take the moral high ground. it gets all the decent people on our side and can help the savages we fight against accept peace terms if we dont abuse them. our overall objective is for liberty to advance. abusing POWs is not compatable with advancing liberty.

That is the easiest question ever to answer.
Because we hold ourselves accountable for our actions, wouldn't be nice if everyone did.
The irony is that the US actually does have a bad reputation of prisoner abuse,,, or haven't you read about Andersonville in history class yet??

it isn't and at the moment you dont have any POWs that is the entire point they are unlawful combatants
you are the only western society who treats prisoners like you do
no one complains about other countries because no one else is doing what you do

Actually, POWs have certain inalienable rights granted to them by the UN. But if a country doesn't belong to the UN, then they don't recognize the laws. The US DOES belong to the UN, and needs to treat POWs with respect.
