I dated her in 7th grade. She is technically single now, but this guy I know likes her to. Should I go for it or is it a red flag?

Well i did it when my best friend liked our guy best friend and i asked him out to the dance and she got really pissed cause she found out i liked him. We didn't talk for about 2 months and now we're sorta friends. But technically i'm really happy i went to the dance with him cause now i'm really close with him and i love him to death! So yeah definitely go for it. Living isn't living without taking risks.

Does he know you like her too? He is not married to her, ask her out let her decide if she wants to date you or him. She might have someone else, like you or he more or like neither of you. Just ask, what do you have to loose?

Well, if she's single I don't really see a reason why you shouldn't ask her. If he doesn't ask her first, how is this any of your concern? You got to it first so he has nothing to complain about.
