"Paddle" had ear mites when he was given to me, with sores behind the ears from scratching. 3 vet trips have not completely healed the infection in the wound. I earigate twice daily which helps, but not healed. Does anybody know what the purple liquid was, that you could buy years ago at the pet store. Many thanks.

It's called gentian violet and I think it's for fungus not bacterial infections. It really stains your fingers and anything else you touch.

I wouldn't use it without running it by the vet. I don't quite understand what is "infected" - where he is scratching behind his ears? Is there still an ear mite infestation inside the ears? That's usually quickly cleared up with a shot of ivermectin. Bacterial infections may require use of an antibiotic.

I would discuss the wounds with your vet, are they not healing because Paddle is still scratching them? or is the medication that you are using just not working?, if he is still scratching I would ask your vet if you should consider using an elizabethan collar, or if scratching is not the problem, can he recommend a different medication? I would definately recommend that you discuss this problem with your vet to see what else he/she may recommend you do. Good Luck.

i ask your self if this Jeep has some type of ignition spark retarding smog function once you position this in fifth equipment. try this: Park on your force way with the parking brake on securely and block the wheels so the motorcar can't flow. initiate the engine and push the carry close each of ways in and carry it down for the entire technique so as that the carry close will under no circumstances have interaction. positioned the motorcar into first, 2d , 0.33 and fourth gears and once you get to fifth see if the engine tries to stall, bypass over or engine RPM slows down. If it stalls in fifth or sputters and so on., there should be a spark proscribing change it really is obstructing off ignition timing/spark develop or gas bypass and so on. which will be causing the potential loss in fifth equipment purely.

Your vet does not seem to know much if he's seen your cat three times already with no success. I would find another vet. Infection can get worse.

gentian violet is purple. betadyne is yellow. is it the ear that is infected or the scratches? if you update your question, I will try to edit my answer to better fit your problem, if I can.
